Saskatchewan Trophy Whitetail Hunt

Northern Whitetail Adventures
Saskatchewan Trophy Whitetail Hunts

Out of all the places in North America available to hunt, every hunter's dream destination is Saskatchewan. The 300 pound heavy antlered deer that roam these woods are what hunters from around the world come for. Nowhere else can you experience the lack of hunting pressure combined with the opportunities for a record-book measuring rack in the wild. With lease prices increasing in the states, many hunters are realizing that coming to Canada for their dream buck isn't a dream at all. You can come and hunt the biggest deer of your life for little more than you hunt at home in many cases and have more to show for it.

Northern Whitetail Adventures offers trophy whitetail rut hunts on 320 sq miles of Saskatchewan wilderness. With only 25 deer tags that averages out to 1 tag for every 8,000 acres! Needless to say that doesn't hurt the incredible herd we have here. Our lodge overlooks the Beaver River about 12 miles North of Beauval Saskatchewan. We have quad trails cut to over 50 stand sites-some miles deep in the woods- for easy access. With a predominately American clientele we offer a meat and 3 type meal plan. Out trophy whitetail hunts are Monday through Saturday. We hunt the rut in November of every year.

How does a hunt go? Here it is in a nut-shell. You will fly into Saskatoon. We prefer you fly in on Saturday at the latest to insure the airlines time to get your luggage to you JUST IN CASE. You will take a shuttle and stay in one of the many hotels within a mile of the Saskatoon airport such as the Saskatoon Inn. On Sunday morning you will take a shuttle back to the airport and pick up your rental car(this saves you 1 day's rental). There is a Wal-Mart in Saskatoon that opens at 12 noon for any incidentals you may need or forgot. You will then drive North to our camp and check in on Sunday afternoon. After sighting your gun in, we will sit down with you and go over the rules and regulations as well as get your licensing taken care of.  Next is the hard part--getting some sleep on Sunday night. Monday morning will start you on your every day ritual until you harvest your trophy. You will wake up and have breakfast then get dressed for the hunt. We will make you a lunch for the blind and take you there. You will also be provided with a 2 way radio and a propane heater-should you need one. Once in the blind you are there for the day. Should you need anything you have the radio for communication with your guide. There is no one over your shoulder saying yes or no on a deer. There is no trophy fee. If you kill a 200 class deer, your only penalty will be posing for more pictures. Once your deer is down radio the guide and he will take care of the game and caping process according to how you want your mount. Your trophy will then be boxed and frozen for travel back to the US, or to one of the local taxidermy shops should you choose.
